چکیده
A novel heterogeneous catalysis system using metal-organic frameworks as catalyst demonstrated excellent chemo- and regioselectivity for the direct arylation of unactivated arenes with aryl iodides/bromides without the assistance of any transition metals.

General Method for Functionalized Polyaryl Synthesis via Aryne Intermediates
A method for base-promoted arylation of arenes and heterocycles by aryl halides and aryl triflates is described. Additionally, in situ electrophilic trapping of ArLi intermediates generated in the reaction of benzyne with deprotonated arenes or heterocycles has been developed, providing rapid and easy access to a wide range of highly functionalized polyaryls. Base-promoted arylation methodology...

The addition of aryl groups to unactivated olefins represents a direct approach to C!C bond construction. Pd-catalyzed coupling of aryl halides with alkenes, the Heck reaction, offers a viable approach to arylation. However, terminal unactivated olefins often display low reactivity in Heck reactions and can yield mixtures of styrenes and allyl arenes owing to poor regiocontrol in the b-hydride ...
متن کاملA macrocyclic aromatic pyridone pentamer as a highly efficient organocatalyst for the direct arylations of unactivated arenes.
A macrocyclic aromatic pyridone pentamer was shown to catalyze highly efficient transition-metal-free arylations of unactivated aromatic C-H bonds with aryl iodides and bromides in the presence of potassium tert-butoxide.
متن کاملPalladium-catalyzed decarboxylative coupling of aromatic acids with aryl halides or unactivated arenes using microwave heating.
Microwave heating greatly accelerates Pd-catalyzed decarboxylative coupling of aromatic acids and aryl iodides, and allows the coupling of benzoic acids with unactivated arenes.
متن کاملRecyclable heterogeneous copper oxide on alumina catalyzed coupling of phenols and alcohols with aryl halides under ligand-free conditions.
An efficient alumina-supported CuO-catalyzed O-arylation of phenols and aliphatic alcohols with various aryl as well as heteroaryl halides under ligand-free conditions are reported. This protocol provides a variety of diaryl ether and bis-diaryl ether motifs by reacting different aryl/aliphatic halides with differently substituted phenols and saturated alcohols in the presence of a catalytic am...
